Description
Laser Space YDFA-200 core-pumped erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (YDFAs) offer >200 mW output power with a low noise figure of <6 dB. The YDFA-200S is a single mode YDFA with minimal sensitivity to the input light polarization, while the YDFA-200P is a polarization-maintaining YDFA that only amplifies input light polarized along the slow axis of the fiber. Each YDFA-200 instrument includes built-in input and output isolators to protect the input laser source from any amplified spontaneous emission or back reflections, as well as to prevent the pump light from exiting the amplifier.
Each unit includes a 1 m FC/APC patch cable, and this cable should be connected to the output at all times to protect the output receptacle from the optical damage caused by repeated connections.
